Francis D. Weber, age 98, resident of Milbank, passed away March 2, 2018, at St. Williams Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank, SD. Fr. Gary DeRouchey will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the mass.
Casket bearers will be: Donald Weber, Joseph Weber, Aaron Weber, James Borchert, Donally Kranz, Doug Borchert, and Todd Sprung.
Francis Daniel Weber was born on July 3, 1919, in the family farm home in Roberts County, SD. He was the son of Joseph F. and Elizabeth M. (Thyne) Weber. Francis attended rural school at Geneseo #4. Growing up, he worked for several farmers as a hired hand. He was united in marriage with Dolores Prisinger on November 11, 1953. He lived with his family on the family farm until 1961, when he purchased a farm east of Corona, SD. They lived there until moving one last time to Milbank in 2003.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dolores of Milbank, SD; children: Marie (Dwight) Borchert of Milbank, SD; Bernard (Brenda) Weber of Milbank, SD; Rosemary Weber of Milbank, SD; grandchildren: Jennifer (Donally) Kranz, James (Jaime) Borchert, Donald Weber, Joseph (Chelsea)Weber, Aaron Weber; great-grandchildren: Kimberly Kranz, Kristyn Kranz, Joseph Kranz, Monica Kranz, Nate Borchert, and Stephanie Weber. He was preceded in death by: his parents: Joseph and Elizabeth Weber; siblings: Donald Weber, Clem Weber, and Greg Weber.
