Victoreen Marcella (Vogel) Remily was born on September 11, 1917, in Marion, South Dakota, to parents, Fred and Frances (Weber) Vogel. The family lived in Marion for a short time before moving to Doland, South Dakota, where Vicky attended grade school and later graduated from Doland High School.

Following her education, Victoreen married Clifford Remily on August 27, 1940 in a Catholic Church in Doland, SD. Victoreen and Clifford were blessed with eight children, Kathleen, Marcella, Rodney, Daryl, Jerry, Russell, Marie, and Thomas. Together the couple farmed for many years. Clifford then attended a meat cutter school in Toledo, Ohio, and following his completion of that, he, Vicky and the family moved to Lemon, SD, as well as Watertown, Sisseton, and Aberdeen before retiring to Yakima, WA.

In her spare time, Vicky enjoyed painting, playing the violin, and cooking and always had time for a game of "Pinochle". She was a loving mother who cherished the opportunity to be a stay at home mother for her children. Vicky also worked for area school helping with lunch for a number of years.
