Roland Oscar Peterson was born on June 23, 1945 to Arvid and Marie (Eldevik) Peterson at the Holy Trinity Hospital in Graceville, MN. He was baptized, attended Sunday School and was confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1965. He was a faithful member of Elim where he sang in Junior and Senior Choir, ushered and helped whenever needed.

Roland lived with his parents and helped them. He worked at the Big Stone Cheese Factory for a few years. He helped farmers in the area with milking cows and chores. In the later years he milked cows for Doug Nelson. On Saturdays he enjoyed helping his nephew, Brad Propp deliver the Valley Shoppers. He enjoyed eating out at the restaurants and visiting with people.

Roland became ill and was taken to the MeritCare in Fargo on July 25 and remained there until his death on September 1, 2007. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arvid and Marie Peterson, and a nephew, Stephen Propp.

Roland is survived by his sister, Amelia (Duane) Propp; nieces, Leanne and Jennifer Propp; nephews, Brad and Jeff Propp; and relatives and friends. He will be missed by those who called him friend. Blessed be his memory.
