Rita Lindholm

Rita Lindholm, 76, of Fox Lake, IL, passed away September 8, 2011, in Skokie, IL. She was born August 26, 1935, in Big Stone City, SD; the daughter of Ed and Naomi (Bergland) Gerhardt. She was a former resident of Coon Rapids, MN. She was valedictorian of Ortonville High School and graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY as an elementary teacher. She was a member of the Libertyville Covenant Church.

Rita Lindholm is survived by her husband, Loren Lindholm of Fox Lake, IL; two daughters: Jeannette Marie Lindholm of Beverly, MA; Kari (Timothy) Lindholm-Johnson of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren: Gabriel Gerhardt and Chloe Lindholm Johnson; one sister, Judy (John) Nichols of Hutchinson, MN; one brother, Don (Judith) Gerhardt of Golden Valley, MN.

A funeral service will be held in Libertyville on Friday. Local services will be held Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ortonville, MN. Rev. Timothy L. Johnson, Rita's son-in-law, will officiate and burial will be at the Swedish Mission Cemetery, Ortonville.
