Pearl Frances Rebehn was born on September 25, 1923, to parents Gustav and Lydia (Neuschwander) Oehler in Big Stone County, MN. On October 28, 1923, she was baptized into the Lutheran Faith at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Odessa, MN, by Rev. Max Melinat. On March 21, 1937, Pearl was confirmed in the same church in Odessa by Rev. Ihno Janssen .



On November 26, 1952, Pearl married Herman "Slim" Rebehn, together they raised five children. They lived near Nassau, MN, until 1961, when they moved to their present home in Ortonville, MN, where they owned and operated Rebehn's Resort.





At various times, Pearl worked at the Big Stone Canning Co., Jurgen?s Hardware and O'Kayes Furniture. During World War II, she worked at Red Owl in Bellingham and the Standard Oil gas station.



Pearl was a hard working wife and mother who enjoyed her family and friends. The Rebehns? home was always open and welcoming. Pearl enjoyed finishing and hunting and continued deer hunting throughout her life.



In later years, Pearl was a dedicated volunteer in her church and community. Pearl was a very active volunteer with RSVP and worked many years at the Big Stone County Fair. She also volunteered at Northridge Senior Residence for a number of years. Pearl belonged to Sarah Circle at Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of Caring Friends.



Pearl passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at her home in Ortonville, MN, reaching the age of 82. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and two sisters.



Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Will Bauman, of Lucan, MN; sons and daughthers-in-law, Dennis and Susan Pederson of Neptune City, NJ; Larry and Patty Pederson of Eden Prairie, MN; Ronald and Carol Pederson of Park Rapids, MN; and Gary and Julie Rebehn of Madison, MN; sister-in-law and husband, Edna and Russell Anderson of Clinton, MN; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
