Marion Kramer

December 7, 1923 — May 29, 2010

Marion Beatrice Kramer was born on December 7, 1923 to parents Daniel and Gertrude (Moran) Mullin in Graceville, MN; she was an only child growing up south of Barry, MN on the family farm. Marion attended Graceville High School and graduated in 1941.



On June 30, 1947, Marion was united in marriage to Michael W. Kramer at St. Barnabas Church in Barry, MN. They made their home in Graceville, MN. She worked at The General Store in Barry, and upon moving to Graceville worked as a clerk at stores owned by Lankey’s and Vangsness. She later worked in laundry at Holy Trinity Hospital until retirement.



Marion was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville as well as a member of CCW.

Marion’s life was centered on her family.. She enjoyed visits and calls from her children and grandchildren, baking and cooking, mending her grandchildren’s clothes with her old treadle sewing machine, tending her flowers and lawn, and the special trees she planted. She also had many life-time friends in Graceville, and in the brief time she lived in assisted living in Morris, made more friends with the other residents and staff. She was always proud of her Irish heritage and instilled that pride in her children and grandchildren.



Marion died on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Skyview Court Assisted Living in Morris, MN. She had lived to reach the age of 86 years. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.



Marion is survived by her children: Beverly (Jim) Smith of Glenwood, MN, Marilyn (Dennis) O’Neill of Graceville, MN, Ken (Marilyn) Kramer of Rochester Hills, MI, Greg (Dawn) Kramer of Shakopee, MN; 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Marvin) Vande Loo, Sara O’Neill, Matthew O’Neill, Michael O’Neill, Andrew O’Neill, Brent Kramer, Ryan Kramer, Tracy Kramer, Daniel Kramer, Ashley Kramer; and 1 great-grandchild, Darius O’Neill.



She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Mike.
