Mabel Boyle

February 13, 1915 — September 28, 2009

Mabel Rose Boyle the daughter of Joseph and Minnie (Grosch) Leuthard was born February 13, 1915 in Tribune, Saskatchewan in Canada. Her family later moved to Chokio, MN. As a child she attended rural country schools near Johnson and Chokio. After 8th grade she moved with her family to Graceville, MN. As a young woman she did house work and cleaning for different families.



On June 6, 1934, at age 19, Mabel was united in marriage to Otto Herzenach. They made their home in Graceville, MN. They were blessed with five children. Otto died February 20, 1967. Mabel married John Boyle November 9, 1968 and they made their home in Graceville, MN. John died July 15, 2004. She entered Grace Home in 2003 where she lived until her death September 28, 2009. She will be missed by all her family and friends.



Mabel was a wonderful cook and baker her grandchildren remember enjoying all their grandma’s goodies while they visited. She also crocheted afghans. She very much enjoyed playing cards with relatives and friends. She liked playing bingo with friends.



She belonged to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and a member of the church ladies circle. She really enjoyed to “TOPS” Club, more for the socializing than for weight loss.



She is survived by her sons: Paul (Kim) Herzenach of Plymouth, MN, David (Virginia) Herzenach of Mound, MN, Glenn (Virginia) Herzenach of Mound, MN, Allen (Mary Lou) Herzenach of Ironton, MN; daughter: Mary (Jim) Bauer of Richland, MI; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by: parents; two husbands, Otto Herzenach and John Boyle; two brothers, Leonard and William; four sisters, Caroline, Goldie, Babe, and Laura.



In lieu of flowers the family of Mabel Boyle would like memorials to go to the Grace Home in Graceville.
