Loyd Sanders

February 15, 1951 — November 7, 2010

Loyd William Sanders, son of William, and Betty Jean (Holmblad) Sanders, was born February 15, 1951 in Ortonville, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at the Clinton Methodist Church. Despite the fact that his parents moved to Ortonville, Loyd wanted to graduate with his friends, so he drove to Clinton everyday during the terrible winter and graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. Following graduation, Loyd moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota where he worked at various jobs including Franklin Manufacturing, Lantz Optical, and Bremer Bank. For the past 20 years Loyd has thoroughly enjoyed working as a Commercial Vehicle Inspector for the Minnesota State Patrol.

Loyd loved his life at the lake fishing off the dock in summer and ice fishing in winter. He also loved riding around on his motorcycle and 4-wheeler. He was also a Viking fan and spent a good part of every game on the phone with his sister while they complained about umpires and bad calls.

The Lord called Loyd home on November 7, 2010. He leaves behind his mother, Betty Jean and sister Connie Sanders both of Perham, MN; many aunts and uncles, cousins and a special cat, Tigger, and friends too numerous to count.

He is preceded in death by his father, William; grandparents, Will and Alice Sanders and Alex and Jenny Holmblad.
