Lillian Ninneman

March 20, 1913 — February 5, 2009

Lillian Louise Loeschke was born the forth of nine children to William and Anna (Fenner) Loeschke on March 20, 1913 in Grant County, South Dakota. Lillian was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended country school until the 8th grade. Lillian then took a job working on the County Farm doing housework.



On June 18, 1941, Lillian was united in marriage to George Ninneman. After just a year of marriage, they were blessed with a son, Leroy Albert, who died when he was just about two years old. After losing their first born, Lillian found the Lord as her personal Savior. George and Lillian were also blessed with four more children: Anna, Vidella, Naomi, and Daniel.



As an adult, Lillian was baptized by immerson at Artichoke Lake Baptist Church to proclaim her faith in Jesus Christ. After George’s death in December of 1974, Lillian spent her time working caring for children and adults. Lillian loved children and spent many of her years teaching Adult Sunday school.



Lillian enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and making afghans, she made one for each of her grandchildren. In her later years, Lillian had a passion for playing cards and Scrabble. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.



Lillian died on February 5, 2009, at Northridge Residence in Ortonville, having lived to reach the age of 95 years.



Lillian is survived by her daughters: Anna (Lawrence) Schmieg of Big Stone City, SD, Vidella Parks of Ortonville, MN, and Naomi (Dave) Ernst of Wathena, KS; son Daniel (Sue) Ninneman of Cresco, PA; grandchildren: Gerald (Dotty) Longhenry James (Keri) Longhenry, Jon (Deb) Longhenry, Jay (Louisa) Longhenry, Greg (Lana) Parks, Brad (Jennifer) Parks, Nate (fiance Shantelle Goergen) Roschen, and Matthew (Rhonda) Ernst, Joan Longhenry, Jennifer (Christopher) Merriman, Tiffany Parks, Mary Beth (Beau) Sigrist, Joy (Brad) Walk and Mandy (Garrett) White; 18 Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



Lillian is preceded in death by her parents; husband George; son Leroy; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers.
