Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville announces the death of Lee Guse, age 79, of Ortonville. Lee passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Fairway View in Ortonville.
Funeral Services for Lee Guse will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ortonville, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5 A�A�A½ 7 P.M. with 7 P.M. prayer service at the Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville. Pastor John Ragan will be officiating and burial will be at Mound Cemetery in Ortonville, MN.
Lee Guse was born on April 9, 1932 in Akron Township, Big Stone County to parents Lloyd and Lillie (Monson) Guse. He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Ortonville. Lee was raised on the family farm north of Correll and attended country school at District #48 through 8th grade. He then stayed home and helped his dad farm.

Lee was united in marriage to Patricia Hein, January 18, 1957. They made their home east of Ortonville, in Akron Township, and by Louisburg, MN, then bought their farm in Odessa Township in 1991. During this union they were blessed with seven children.

Lee served on the church council at Zion and Louisburg Lutheran Churches.

His most memorable trip was to Nashville, Tennessee to see the "Grand Ole Opry".
He very much enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren.

Blessed be his memory as a farmer, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Pat of 54 years of Odessa, MN; sons, Allan (Kathy) Guse of Ortonville, MN, Richard (Beth) Guse of Correll, MN, Larry (friend Deb) of Correll, MN, Myron (Theresa) of Appleton, MN, Lorne (Dawn) Guse of Zumbrota, MN; daughter, Linda (Randy) Schuerman of Milan, MN; sixteen grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren;

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son Harlan; brother Floyd Guse.
