Keith D. Mellon was born on June 21, 1980 to parents, William & Jane (Sciscione) Mellon, in Ortonville, Minnesota. Keith began his schooling in Ortonville attending the grade school until third grade. He then moved to Burnsville, MN where he graduated in 1999.
Keith enjoyed the outdoors and when ever possible he loved to take hikes in the Big Stone Wildlife Refuge. A favorite pass time for Keith was being around friends and tossing a Frisbee back and forth. In his free time he enjoyed listening to Led Zepplin on his stereo.
On Sunday, July 11, 2004, Keith died at the Ortonville Hospital at the age of 24.
Keith was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Viola Mellon.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Butler; father, William (Bill) Mellon; sister, Savannah Mellon Butler; step-brother, Santino Butler; maternal grandparents, Mary and Biagio Sciscione; and a great aunt, Edna Kamin, as well as many other relatives and friends.
