Funeral Services for Irma Krueger, age 87, of Graceville, MN, formerly of Beardsley, MN, will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Beardsley, MN.



Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service held at 7:00 p.m. at the Larson Funeral Home in Graceville, MN.



Irma Lillian Krueger (nee Firchau) was born June 24, 1920 at South Branch Township, St. James, MN, to parents Albert and Carolina (Krause) Firchau. She was baptized , confirmed and married in the same church, St. John's Lutheran Church, South Branch. Irma attended 8 years of school at St. John's Parochial School.



Irma was married to Albert Krueger on October 20, 1940. They lived on a farm at Ormsby, MN, until 1947 when they moved to Tilney farm in Truman, MN. In the fall of 1956 they moved to the Ray Flynn farm in Beardsley. In the fall of 1998, she moved to the apartments in Graceville. Albert passed away January 9, 2000.



There were 2 children born to this union: Darlene Schroeder of Big Stone City, SD, and Richard (Jeanne) Krueger of Clinton, MN. They raised two nephews: Donald (Susan) Firchau of Maynard, MN, and Ervin (Jean) Firchau of Graceville, MN. Irma and Albert have 7 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.



Irma was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Served as President, Secretary/ Treasurer of Ladies Group for many years. She was also a charter member of Chat N' Chew Club, acting as Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer.



She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Irma spent many happy hours making their favorite meals and serving Schwan's ice cream, playing games and cards and just going for walks with them. She enjoyed having her long 'special talks' with them and writing in and sharing her 'religious folder'.



A little message to leave for my loved ones with; Don't cry for me, and don't ever forget I loved everyone of you dearly. I hope I meant enough to all of you, so you will have some special memories to cling to.



Irma is survived by; Darlene Schroeder, Big Stone City, SD; Richard (Jeanne) Krueger, Clinton, MN; Donald (Susan) Firchau, Maynard, MN; Ervin (Jean) Firchau, Graceville, MN. Brother, Reinhold (Dorothy) Firchau, Lewisville, MN; 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. 6 God children; Donald Firchau, Ervin Firchau, Karen Wacker, Karen Weike, Carole Wiederhoept and Darrell Sodeman.



She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
