Gordon Mueller

Gordon Lowell Mueller the son of Henry and Emma (Pansch) Mueller, was born April 23, 1930 at the family farm in Yellowbank Township, Lac quil Parle County, which he operated all his life near Ortonville, MN. Gordon was baptized and confirmed at the Yellowbank Lutheran Church. He attended and graduated from Odessa High School in 1948.
On October 15, 1949, Gordon was united in marriage to Delores Novak. Their six children from this union are Myron, Galen, Joleen, Leeann, Orlynn, and Arvin.
Gordon was an active farmer until his illness. Along with farming, Gordon enjoyed umpiring baseball sports, hunting and spending time with his family. During his high school years, he was in basketball, boxing and baseball. He was a lifetime member of Odessa Rod and Gun Club, along with being a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Odessa.
On Saturday, January 23, 2010 Gordon was called home at the age of 79.
He is survived by his wife, Delores of Ortonville; sons, Myron (Beth ) of Ortonville, Galen (Janet) of Moorhead, MN, Orlynn (Stephanie) of Becker, MN, Arvin and (Jenny) of Ortonville; daughters, Joleen (Mark) Sytsma of Clearwater, MN, Leeann (Dave) of St. Cloud, MN; sister Valeria (Jim) Tuggle of Greenbark, WA; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Delmar, Leonard, Emray, Marvin; and one sister, Viola.
In lieu of flowers, memorial will be given to the Odessa Cemetery Fund.
