Dean Warnke was born in Tomah, Wisconsin on April 23, 1929 to Alvin and Eva (Bacon) Warnke. His father was a farmer and his mother was a school teacher. He has five brothers, Robert, Howard, Alfred, Spencer and Elwood. He has four sisters, Beverly, Carol, Adeline and Donna.



Dean graduated in Tomah, WI in 1947. On July 24, 1947 Dean joined the Navy and served for many years. He was also in the Nation Guard. Dean was married three times. Dean and his first wife, Helen, had nine children: Esther, Shirley, Lillian, Audrey, Laurie, Vickie Lynn, Dean, Jr., Howard and Dewey. With his second wife, Kathy, he had six children: Troy (Renee), Sean (Tamiera), Tracey, Stacy, Gary and Joseph (Mary). One mother-in-law, Roslyn. He then was married to Jean, his third wife. Dean lived his last 14 years with his son Troy and daughter-in-law, Renee.



Dean drove semi over the road for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren: Troy, Jr., Bridgett, Raven, Adrianna, Heather, Ashley, Tesla, Ashley, Damian and Adrianna. Dean also enjoyed fishing and gardening.



Dean's family would like to thank Marge Dragseth, Kacy Konshak and all the staff at Northridge who cared for Dean this past year.
