Constance Hamner

Constance Evelyn Gary was born on September 6, 1948, to Willard and Evelyn (Palmer) Gary in Graceville, MN. Connie was raised in Graceville; where she was baptized and confirmed at Parnell Lutheran Church.



Connie attended and graduated from Graceville High School when she then attended Alexandria Vo-Tech. After college graduation, Connie worked at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus as a private secretary until moving back to the area, working at the Ortonville Hospital and then the Big Stone Coop.



On June 20, 1970, Connie was united in marriage to Lee Edwin Hamner at Siloah Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arthur Wickstrom. To this union, two children were born: Michelle and Ryan. .



Connie enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and flower gardening. She loved music, especially going to Lorie Line concerts with her friends. Connie thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.



Connie died on Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Ortonville Area Health Services in Ortonville, MN, having lived to reach the age of 60 years.



Connie is survived by her husband, Lee; children Michelle (Mike) McFeely of Moorhead, MN and Ryan (Kathryn) Hamner of Blaine, MN; grandchildren: Emma McFeely and Layla Hamner; brother Donald Gary of Fairfax, MN; sister-in-law Neila Gary of Barry, MN and nieces and nephews.



Connie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Dennis Gary.
