Clarice Mott

November 24, 1924 — May 27, 2009

Clarice Mildred Selgeby was born on November 24, 1924 to Joseph and Julette (Erickcon) Selgeby in Grant County, South Dakota. Clarice was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Revillo, SD.



Clarice was united in marriage to Leonard Hagedorn on July 31, 1941, and from this union they were blessed with five children: Sharon, Roger, Susan, Shirley, and Darla. In 1965, Clarice and Leonard moved to Batavia, IL.



On April 18, 1983, Leonard passed away; Clarice continued to reside in Illinois. Later, Clarice met Hugh Franklin Mott and on October 27, 1984, they were married. Hugh passed away on December 23, 1993; Clarice remained in Illinois until her move back to Minnesota in June of 2002, when she moved into Northridge Residence.



Clarice had a love of music; she loved to sing and especially enjoyed singing old songs and gospel music. Clarice also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.



Clarice died on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Ortonville Area Health Services in Ortonville, MN having lived to reach the age of 84 years.



Clarice is survived by her son: Roger (Jeanette) Hagedorn; daughters: Sharon Unterkircher, Susan (Joe) McMahon, Shirley Richardson, Darla (Gary) Leek; 13 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Grace Wojahn.



Clarice is preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Leonard and Hugh.
