Celestine Roggenbuck

June 18, 1914 — June 21, 2004

Sally Stolpman was born June 18, 1914 near Rosen, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Theresa (Voigt) Stolpman. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from the Bellingham High School. She moved to Minneapolis where she lived and worked with her sister. Sally returned to Rosen and married Henry Roggenbuck in June of 1940. They owned a small general store in Rosen. Sally and Henry moved to Big Stone City, South Dakota where they owned and operated the grocery store for about 25 years. Sally bread for the store long after their retirement.



Sally was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church, Aid Association and Birth Right. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, baking and playing cards.



She is survived by sons, John (Carol) of Spearfish, SD, Dennis (Margaret) of Boise, ID, Stephen (Susan) of Blaine, MN, Neil (Mary Jane) of Minneapolis, Quentin (Renea) of Lauderdale, MN and Kevin (Bobbie) of Inver Grove Heights, MN; two brothers, Urban (Lucille) Stolpman of Ortonville and Victor (Irene) Stolpman of St. Joseph, MN; one sister, Marie Paige of Las Vegas, NV; and 12 grandchildren, Caroline, Mary, Lisa, Amy, Dan, Justin, Jesse, Boyd, Kyle, Sara, Emma and Peter.



Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; one brother, Wendlin; and two sisters, Eleanor and Avelline.
