Betty Christeson

May 1, 1926 — January 30, 2010

Betty Christeson, the daughter of John and Maude (McCntheon) Hunt, was born May 1, 1926 in the state of New Jersey. She grew up and attended school in New Jersey. She married and moved to a farm in Pennsylvania. She was blessed with two children.



Betty and her children, when they were young, moved to Los Angeles, California. She worked as an accountant at a Hunt Trucking Company and various other business’s. In 1965 Betty met Edward Christeson , and were united in marriage August 1, 1965. She again was blessed with two more children of Ed’s who were five and six years old. At this time Betty became a full time homemaker. They remained in California until 1979 and moved to Austin, Texas. In 1993 Ed retired and moved to Abilene, Texas. Betty loved children and watched the neighborhood children. They moved to Minnesota in 2004 and made their home in Clinton.



Betty entered West Wind Village in Morris, MN the beginning of October where she lived until January 30, 2010. She will be missed by all her family and friends.



Betty was a talented poet and wrote poems, that she shared with papers in the area. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles and games. She was known for her good cooking and baking.



Betty was a member of the Eastern Star. She belonged to church organizations. She also belonged to a quilting club.



Betty is survived by her husband, Edward of Clinton, MN; children, Roger Arnold of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Virginia Cathy of Toms River, New Jersey, Jody Christeson of Clinton, MN, Lorane Soaman of Morris, MN; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard Hunt of Belle, Florida and Edward of Perryton, TX.



She is preceded in death by parents, sister, Catherine Hunt and brother, William Hunt.
