Beryl Brandt

August 8, 1930 — November 27, 2007

Beryl Dale Brandt was born August 8, 1930, to parents Alfred and Verlyn (Bonn) Brandt, in Albin Township, SD. He was baptized and confirmed at Tabor United Methodist Church. In 1948, he graduated from Big Stone City High School and soon after, began his lifelong career (& love) as a truck driver.



Bud was united in marriage to Carol (Winning) on May 25, 1956. From this union, four children were born; Dale, Cheryl, Linda and Sandy. The family lived in So. St. Paul for 13 years, until 1970, when they moved to Big Stone City. Bud lived in Big Stone City, until his death



He was an active member of the Moose Lodge in South St. Paul. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends, rolling dice, and he especially loved playing cards against his wife! Bud cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. Those that knew and loved Bud, knew him for his fun sense of humor!



Bud is survived by his wife, Carol, Big Stone City, SD; one son, Dale (Lorelei) Brandt, Milbank, SD; three daughters, Cheryl Kaiser, Big Stone City, SD, Linda (Dave) Taylor, Peck, KS, Sandy (Lyle) Moser, Milbank, SD; one brother, Alfred (Grace) Brandt, Cottage Grove, MN; one sister, Beverly Van Hout, South St. Paul, MN; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.



Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Verlyn; one grandson; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and one brother-in-law, James Van Hout.
