Ardella Kohler

September 4, 1921 — March 25, 2005

Idele "Ardella" Minnie Grace Kohler was born on September 04, 1921 near Correll, MN to parents Joseph and Ida (Niraese) Kohler. Ardella was the youngest child with four brothers and five sisters. Ardella was baptized on July 03, 1945 at St. John's church in Ortonville, and was confirmed on March 18, 1973 at First English Lutheran Church in Ortonville. Ardella attended the Artichoke Country School up through eighth grade. The family of the late Junior and late Helen Carlson was a second family to Ardella. Ardella lived at Clinton Providence Center for several years, and in March of 2004 she moved to Grace Home in Graceville. Ardella enjoyed playing BINGO and folding towels and laundry at Clinton Providence Center.

Ardella was a kindhearted person who enjoyed helping others, sharing treats, and was rich in spirit. She also loved sending and receiving cards and letters to people she knew. Her Beanie Babies and stuffed animals were always on display, along with photographs of friends and family on her bulletin board. Ardella loved to sing, especially solos of "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". She also enjoyed a number of activities throughout her life.

Although not necessarily spoken by Ardella, those that knew her, knew that her life motto was: Enjoy life, celebrate birthday, treasure family and friends, remember to say thank you, and know that God Almighty is behind it all.

Regardless of whether one knew her as "Della", "Idella", "Aredella", knowing her was a blessing.

Preceded Ardella in death were her parents Joe and Ida; four brothers, Bill, Fred, Oscar, and Otto; and five sisters, Lela, Meta, Rosie, Minnie, and Carrie.
