Alan Kilvington

May 13, 1950 — November 16, 2005

Alan Jay Kilvington was born on May 13, 1950, in Ortonville, MN, to parents Leslie J. and Beulah (Whiting) Kilvington. As a young boy, Al attended the Ortonville School District and following school, he entered the Job Corp.

On June 30, 2001, Al married Linda Mundt in Brookings, SD. The couple made their home just south of Ortonville. Al worked for the Ortonville School District as a bus driver for many years. His passion for driving was evident as in his spare time, Al enjoyed driving race cars. When not driving, Al treasured restoring old cars and trucks as well as collecting clocks and caps. If there was still time in the day, Al made his way to the lake where he cherished his quiet time fishing.

Al was a member of the Ortonville Fire Department serving for many years and also a member of the Ortonville Car Club. Al also had a strong faith and served the Lord through his membership at Living Hope Fellowship Assembly of God Church in Ortonville and working amongst the inmates of area prisons in Prison Ministry.

Al's great love in life was his family. He treasured the time spent with his children and Linda. He will be greatly missed.

Alan passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at his home in Ortonville, MN, reaching the age of 55. He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie; a sister, Alice; one brother, Denis; and his grandparents.
