We are very proud of our staff of caregivers who are fully equipped to present all the information needed for you and your family to make informed, comfortable decisions.
Tim and Tana Mundwiler
Owners/Licensed Funeral Directors
Tim and Tana (Jaeger) Mundwiler graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1984. They returned to the family business in Milbank, and represent the third generation of funeral directors in the Mundwiler family. Tim and Tana purchased the Milbank business in 1989, and in 2010, became co-owners of the Larson Funeral Homes in Ortonville, MN; Clinton, MN; Graceville, MN; Browns Valley, MN; as well as Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank.
Tim and Tana have three daughters: Kaylee, Amber, and Jamie. Tim has been a member of the Milbank Fire Department since 1984. He was honored as South Dakota Lions Funeral Director of the Year in 1996. Tana serves as a board member on the Milbank Community Foundation and is the co-chairman of the Milbank Combined Appeal. Tim, Tana, and their girls enjoy quarter horse showing and are proud to claim several World Champion titles.
Amanda Lee
Licensed Funeral Director
Amanda grew up in Glenwood, Minnesota, and graduated from Minnewaska Area High School. Amanda graduated from the University of Minnesota - School of Mortuary Science and has been a licensed funeral director in the area since 2008.
Ileta Herberg
Licensed Funeral Director
Ileta, a native of the Clinton area, graduated from Clinton High School, and attended and graduated from St. Cloud Beauty College. She married Howard Herberg and they farmed near Beardsley, MN. She owned and operated the Beardsley Beauty Shop until they started their family. Ileta graduated from Worsham Mortuary College in Wheeling, IL. She has been employed in Fargo, ND, Sauk Rapids, MN, and Glenwood, MN. She returned to her hometown in the fall of 2007 and is grateful to be able to provide services in her neighboring communities. Ileta's three sons and their families all live in this area.
Penny Tower
Support Staff
Joining the staff in July 2011, Penny is joyfully returning to her homeland after living away for 36 years. She looks forward to serving the families coming to Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Homes as she assists the Funeral Directors and also provides Pre-need Funeral Planning services. Penny's career background includes education and ministry. Penny and her husband, Scott, have two daughters - Sarah, living in Ohio, and Anne, living in Texas. In her personal time, Penny enjoys traveling, handiwork, visiting, music, reading and nature.
Donald Williams
Support Staff
Don is a life-long resident of the Clinton Community. Don has three married daughters, Geri (husband Bob, and sons Mike and Andy), of Shakopee, Minnesota; Joette (husband Bruce and daughters Brietta, Marissa, and Rhianna), of rural Clinton; and Sandy (husband Greg, and children Callie and Marshall), of rural Graceville. Don volunteers with Hospice as a patient supporter and bereavement lay speaker. He is a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, and also serves at other area churches.
Don believes it is indeed an honor to help the bereaved. He carries this quote in his billfold, "When the Lord was deciding who were the givers and the receivers, he allowed me to be a giver."
Jerry and Darlene Jaeger
Support Staff
Jerry and Darlene are the parents of Tana Mundwiler. They provide tremendous support for Tim and Tana with their commitment to the family business. Jerry (and his dog, Cayenne) assist with non-local transports. Darlene assists with visitations, funerals, cleaning, and hospitality. They adore their six grandchildren. Jerry and Darlene enjoy spending their winters in Texas and love their summers near Big Stone Lake.
Armand Aswege
Support Staff
Armand very much enjoys his work and the rewards that working with families in their time of need bring to him.
Armand was born and raised on a grain and dairy farm. He graduated from West Central School of Agriculture in 1957. Following graduation, he joined the Army Reserve of which he served for six years. He continued to farm and dairy while he and his wife, Garnet, raised their two children, Troy and Tracy. In 1999 they moved to Graceville and at the present time, he is the Area Sales Representative for a Seed Company and Garnet works at Star Bank in Graceville.
Their son Troy and his wife, Brenda live in West Fargo and have three children - Katelyn, Nathan and Kristin. Tracy and her husband, Ron, live in Eden Prairie and have two boys - Frederick and Joseph. Armand and Garnet are members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Johnson, where Armand has served many years on the Church Council. In their free time they enjoy bowling and golf and spending time with family and friends.
Joe Berning

Having lived in the Big Stone County area his entire life, Joe recently retired from law enforcement after 33 years. He served as Deputy for the county for nineteen years, and served as County Sheriff for fourteen years.
Joe and his wife Debbie have two children - Jason and his wife Shelly of Wheaton and Jennifer and her husband Troy Cronen of Clinton. They also have four grandchildren - Reese and Tyce Cronen, and Drake and Grant Berning. In his personal time, Joe enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling
Michael Dorry
Support Staff
Mike was born in Ortonville and graduated from Ortonville High School. Mike served in the United States Navy and is a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He has been the Commander of the VFW Post 3964 for the past twelve years.
Mike retired from Otter Tail Power Company after thirty-six years of service. He has been on the Ortonville City Council for eleven years and is a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Mike and his wife Diane have been married over forty years. They have two daughters, Lisa and her husband, Allan Ross, and Sara and her husband, James Reinke. Mike and Diane have three granddaughters, Alisha, Emily and Taylor Ross.
In his personal time, Mike enjoys spending time with family (including his dog Koko), boating on Big Stone Lake, and hunting.
Arlen LaCombe
Support Staff
Arlen is retired from livestock buying and farming. He is also retired from the National Guard/Reserve having served 24 years, and is a veteran of the Korean conflict. Arlen served 14 years on the county board of commissioners, is a member of American Legion and VFW. Arlen is also active in First English Lutheran Church of Ortonville and the Ortonville Kiwanis club. He enjoys traveling, bridge, and golf.
Virgil Dochadis

Virgil (Piechowski) Doschadis has been a member of the Beardsley, Browns Valley area her entire life. She has always been very active in the Beardsley Community and her church at St. Mary's. Virgil retired from the Beardsley post office after 30 years. She and her late husband, Leon, have 3 daughters - Deb (Joe) Berning, Vicki (Ed) Berning, and Connie (Terry) Miller, all living in Big Stone and Traverse County. Virgil joined the Larson Funeral Home in 2009, and enjoys assisting the families that have lost loved ones, while visiting and bringing comfort and compassion to those grieving. In her leisure hours she loves spending time with her 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grand Children, volunteering at the nursing home, visiting friends over a cup of coffee, and helping others with errands or getting to doctor's appointments!
Conrad Severson

Conrad joined the Larson Funeral Home staff in 2011. He was previously employed in the banking business for 39 years. Since 1998, Conrad has been teaching the AARP Safe Driving classes in the area. Conrad and his wife Sharol have been married for 47 years. They have three grown children and are the proud Grandparents of six grandchildren! Conrad is a lifetime member of the Masons and the Shrine. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton.
